Pepe Reina
Pepe Reina could be set for a move to Atletico Madrid with the side showing an interest in the Liverpool keeper.

Liverpool are willing to sell Pepe Reina for £4.5m with Atletico Madrid entering the mix for his signature as well as Barcelona.

Reina is currently on loan with Napoli and his Reds' replacement Simon Mignolet remains firmly in favour with Brendan Rodgers, helping the side climb to second in the Premier League table as a tough Christmas period edges closer.

The Spanish shot stopper has been public in his hope of making a move to Barcelona as a replacement for the outgoing Victor Valdes, who will leave the club when his contract with expires in the summer, but the Catalan giants are yet to confirm whether they will make a play for the Liverpool man.

And the Mirror are now claiming that Atletico might try and steal the march on their La Liga rivals, with the side looking for a more permanent option to Chelsea keeper Thibaut Courtois who is currently on loan at the club.

Courtois signed a deal to move to the Blues from Genk in 2011 but has been with the Spanish outfit ever since on a temporary basis. With the side currently equal on points with Barcelona at the top of the table they are believed to be looking for more players in January to push them into being title contenders and see Reina as a long-term option.

With Liverpool willing to part with Reina for a price of £4.5m he is certainly affordable for Atletico. Diego Simeone's side will be hopeful that Barcelona continue to drag their feet over a proposed deal for the keeper after he admitted this year that it would be his dream to return to his former club.

Wherever Reina goes, it appears likely that his career with Liverpool is over with Rodgers recently lavishing praise on Mignolet and reportedly placing such a modest price over the 31 year old's head.
