The 2014 British Fashion Council's London Fashion Week (LFW) starts at Somerset House on Valentine's Day, February 14.

The autumn/winter show is expected to present the very best of the fashion industry's talents.

The fashion week, which runs until February 18, will have over 40 catwalk shows as well as several shows off schedule, including the presentations and salon shows.

"London Fashion Week is a fabulous showcase of what makes London one of the most exciting and dynamic cities on earth - its creativity," the mayor of London, Boris Johnson said.

Designers

The fashion event will see some of the A-list designers' creations being presented on the ramp. Among the well-known designers or fashion houses are Amanda Wakeley, Todd Lynn, Temperley London, Nicole Farhi and more.

LFW live stream

London Fashion Week AW 2014 can be watched live online across the world on the LFW official website.

Over 40 shows, including 18 from the BFC Courtyard Show Space at Somerset House and seven shows from the Topshop venue, will be live streamed.

All these shows can be watched online on the British Fashion TV YouTube channel.

This year, the British Fashion Council (BFC) will live stream shows from offsite venues for the first time.

Shows outside the official show venues including Burberry, Hunter and Paul Smith can be watched online at www.londonfashionweek.co.uk/live.

For further involvement in the biannual fashion event, fashion fans can share their favourite fashion image or runway look on social media (Facebook and Twitter) using hashtag #LoveLFW. BFC has launched the Love LFW campaign to mark the start of London Fashion Week AW14 on Valentine's Day.

As part of the campaign, the best images will be featured on a dedicated Pinterest board, shared on Twitter and entered into a prize draw to win two tickets to Vodafone London Fashion Weekend, which takes place from February 20 to 23.

According to BFC, London Fashion Week is one of the highest profile fashion events in the world and one of the big four international catwalk influencers. The other three are Paris, New York and Milan fashion weeks. It is estimated that orders of over £100m are placed during LFW each season.
