Angel Di Maria has arrived in Qatar to complete his medical ahead of a move to Paris Saint-Germain from Manchester United, according to the Daily Mail.

The winger has reportedly completed a £44.4m ($70m) move from Old Trafford and will make his way to Paris to complete the formalities after his stint in Doha. The 27-year-old has reportedly signed a four-year deal with the club after failing to adjust at Old Trafford, where he arrived on a record fee from Real Madrid.

Di Maria did not join United for their pre-season tour in the US and will directly slot in with his new teammates, where he will be looking to recreate his 2013/14 form, which helped Madrid win the Champions League for the tenth time in their history.

He was deemed a failure at Manchester, where he dropped to the bench following their 2-1 loss to Arsenal in the quarter-final of the FA Cup, with Juan Mata taking his place.

The Argentine was still by far their most creative player in the league, making 10 assists, second only to Cesc Fabregas. Louis van Gaal has made a host of new additions to his squad this season and is likely to sign a replacement, with the Dutchman stating that he needs another player with pace and creativity to challenge for the title.

The 20-time English Champions have already signed Bastian Schweinsteiger, Morgan Schneiderlin, Matteo Darmian, Memphis Depay and Sergio Romeo thus far, but are keeping their eyes open till the end of the transfer window.

"We're not on schedule to be champions because we need speed and creativity at the front," Van Gaal told the Daily Mail.

"Whether we can win the title [in the next two seasons] is dependable if we can buy players with speed and creativity. The hardest decisions are always which players you buy and which have to go. We know the Premier League is different to all the other leagues and players have to adapt."
