Angel Di Maria
Di Maria is wanted by many clubs, including Manchester United and Arsenal.

Manchester United's January target Angel Di Maria has decided to leave Real Madrid in January because his relationships with some members of staff have completely broken down, Spanish reports claim.

Real Madrid said recently that they want to keep Di Maria in the squad but the Argentine winger's strong desire to quit La Liga could force Los Blancos to sell in the upcoming transfer window – with United, Arsenal and Monaco monitoring the situation.

According to Spanish TV Show Tiki Taka Di Maria has already taken the decision to leave Real Madrid and there is no way to dissuade him. The reports claim that "for the last two months he has not spoken at all with some members of the staff and he is not focussed on playing for Real Madrid anymore".

Tiki Taka added that, although Real Madrid have claimed that there is no chance of selling Di Maria, they know that if the player insists on leaving it is going to be very difficult to keep him.

Many Spanish pundits criticised Di Maria after his poor performance in the latest La Liga game against Osasuna, when he came on as substitute in the second half but appeared lazy and distracted.

The Argentine international joined the Spanish champions in 2010 and was an important player under manager Jose Mourinho, but this season his opportunities have decreased as Gareth Bale is Carlo Ancelotti's first choice on the right wing.

Di Maria was linked with a move to Arsenal last summer but Real Madrid finally decided to keep him and sold Mesut Ozil to the Gunners instead.

Reports recently claimed that David Moyes is considering paying Di Maria's £41m release clause as the winger is his main target to partner Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie in the Manchester United front-line.

The Real Madrid star is also a key player for Argentina and his desire to secure a place in the national team for the World Cup is another key factor in his decision to leave the Bernabeu.
