McFly and Busted
McFly and Busted have joined forces to form a supergroup.

McFly and Busted have joined forces to form of a new supergroup called McBusted.

Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter, Harry Judd and Danny Jones confirmed that they would team up with Matt Willis and James Bourne of Busted for a UK tour early next year.

The six-piece is expected to kick off their string of nationwide dates in April 2014, which includes a show at London's O2 Arena.

Although original Busted singer Charlie Simpson will not be joining the new line-up, he went on Twitter to support the collaboration.

He told his 85,700 follwoers: "Just wanted to say that though I am not joining @mattjwillis and @JamesBourne on their new venture, I wish them all the very best with it!"

Simpson is preparing to release a solo album for 2014.

The bands previously teamed up at McFly's 10th anniversary show in September, when Busted joined the boys on stage at London's Royal Albert Hall.

"We had an amazing time performing with Busted on stage. It was so much fun. We didn't expect the kind of reaction we got," McFly frontman Fletcher said at the time.

Fletcher, who recently announced that he and wife Giovanna are expecting their first baby, said that he was equally excited about both the baby and the tour.
