Lumia 650 goes on sale in the UK Microsoft

Unveiled in February, Microsoft's budget Windows 10 Mobile powered Lumia 650 is now available for purchase in the UK. The smartphone that comes in matt black and white colour options, is on sale with a number of carrier networks.

Carphone Warehouse is selling the Lumia 650 under pay as you go plan with a number of networks such as Vodafone, O2 and EE. The lowest deal starts at £119.99 in addition to a £10 top-up coming from Vodafone with offers including 150 minutes call, unlimited texts and 500MB data. Note that Vodafone's big value bundle is valid for 30 days. O2 is selling the new Lumia phone at £124.99 in a deal that includes 1,500 minutes, 4,000 texts and 2GB data.

Online retailer Clove has priced the unlocked variant at £159.98. Other retailers such as Unlocked Mobiles are also selling the phone for around the same price. Also, Lumia fans can purchase the phone from Expansys at £150. Microsoft Store in the UK also has the handset in stock at £159.99 for a 16GB model.

Featuring a 5in screen, the Lumia 650 comes with an aluminium frame. With a thickness of only 6.9mm, the device weighs 122gm. It packs a five megapixel front-facing camera featuring Microsoft's imaging algorithms to deliver sharp photos and videos. At the back, there is an eight megapixel rear-camera with the option to capture rich and living images.

As for productive features, Microsoft's first Lumia smartphone in 2016 runs the latest Microsoft Office apps, allowing users to create and edit documents while on-the-go and sync them to the cloud through OneDrive. In addition to that you can take advantage of the Cortana personal assistant. For business consumers, the Lumia 650 comes with built-in support for a bunch of business apps, new third party Universal Windows Applications such as Uber and one click setup tools like Office 365.
