Microsoft Xbox One
Starting 21 June, new Xbox One buyers will get to choose a game of their choice for free Microsoft

New buyers of Microsoft's Xbox One gaming console have plenty to cheer about as the Redmond-based company is offering customers to take home any game of their choice for free.

This initiative is valid from 21 June, and would continue until 27 June, where new buyers will be given any Xbox One gaming title for free including the Batman: Arkham Knight, which is slated to release on 23 June.

Other popular games that can be chosen include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. These games are available from retailers, both online and at physical stores across the US.

The above deal is valid on purchase of all 500GB Xbox One, along with the more recent 1TB variant.

Price of the 500GB Xbox One variant is $349 (£220) in the US, while a 1TB unit costs $399.

The company has advised buyers to keep in mind that only one game will be provided for free along with the gaming unit, which needs to be disc-based and compatible with Xbox One.

Microsoft's Xbox team, at this year's E3, announced a spate of new gaming titles exclusively developed for Xbox One. These games include Halo 5, Forza Motorsport 6, Gears of War 4 and Guardians. These titles will be launched in 2015.
