Samsung has just announced it will launch the latest of its Galaxy smartphones in London on 3 May.

While the press invite doesn't say for certain which phone will be launched, the smart money at this stage is on the Samsung Galaxy S3 being unveiled.

Samsung's Galaxy S2 was the hit Android smartphone of 2011, selling over 20 million units since launching over a year ago.

While no official images or details of the new phone have been released by Samsung yet, there have been a number of leaked images appearing on the web.

The Galaxy S3 is expected to have a larger screen, a super fast quad-core processor and will come with the latest version of the Android operating system, known as Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is likely to go head-to-head with the iPhone 5 when Apple launches it later this year, with rumours suggesting it will launch in June.
