Samsung has finally started rolling out the official Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update with build number N910CXXU1BOB4 for its flagship phablet, the Galaxy Note 4, starting with Poland.
As SamMobile reports, the Lollipop update brings a new look and feel to the ageing TouchWiz UI, besides offering faster performance, lockscreen notifications, improved battery life and loads of other goodies with the Note 4.
The update weighing barely 1GB in size offers the latest Lollipop features as part of the OTA release for the SM-910C (Exynos) variant of the Note 4.
According to Android Police, some of the noteworthy features ported into the official Android 5.0.1 update for Note 4 include Carousel Recents and lockscreen notifications, along with Samsung's re-interpretation of TouchWiz in a contemporary yet uncomplicated way.
The Lollipop update is reportedly unavailable for download via Samsung KIES at the moment, while the Poland users of Note 4 have started receiving the update via over-the-air (OTA) in the last 24 hours and it has been confirmed to be true by XDA forum's senior member, thiagoribeirorj.
Galaxy Note 4 users who reside outside Poland or cannot wait for the official Lollipop release in their country or region can go ahead and check for the new update manually by going to Settings > About Phone > Software updates and mashing the Check Now button.
It is ascertained that the update may take about a month, before it is released in every possible country or region where the Note 4 is being sold other than Poland.
