One Direction
Fans have been given the chance to get closer to One Direction following the unveiling of new wax figures.

They are already the hottest boy-band on the planet and now One Direction are celebrating another milestone.

The five-piece group, who found fame on the X Factor, have become the latest celebrities to be immortalised at Madame Tussauds.

Fans will be able to get one step closer to meeting teen heartthrobs Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson after new wax figures were unveiled at the landmark London venue.

The waxworks, which took a team of sculptors and stylists months to create, are dressed in clothes donated by the boys themselves for maximum authenticity.

After receiving a private viewing, the lads were said to have been stunned when they saw their life-size doubles.

Malik described the doppelgangers as "wicked" and insisted they were "bang on."

Horan admitted that the experience was uncanny, observing: "This is weird - he's wearing my actual shoes."

And heart-throb Harry Styles said: "It's amazing and such an honour."

The exhibition will stay at the London Madame Tussauds for twelve weeks before following the boys on their own world tour to museums in New York and Sydney.

Around 60 devotees of the What Makes You Beautiful hitmakers were on hand to see the models unveiled.
