The alleged planner of the Paris attacks, Abdel-Hamid Abu Oud, as well as alleged attacker Salah Abdeslam, and a ninth person believed to have taken part, are currently under siege by armed French police in the Saint-Denis area of Paris on 18 November.

Two people have been killed so far in the raid, including a woman who blew herself up, officials told AP. Three people are reported to have been arrested, and several people injured. Residents have been told to stay away from their homes, and transport to the area is suspended.

The raids follow attacks in Paris on Friday, 13 November, by suicide bombers and gunmen in which 129 people were killed.

Several news organisations are broadcasting live footage of the police operation in Paris as it unfolds.
