Prince Philip was the one who ordered the killing of Princess Diana following her ugly divorce from Prince Charles, a new report claimed.

Sources told National Enquirer, in its latest edition, that Prince Philip wanted Princess Diana gone for good after she ended her marriage with Prince Charles more than two and a half decades ago. It is claimed that the end of the future king's marriage was a disgrace for the royal family.

An unnamed insider told the entertainment news outlet that the royal family made sure details about Princess Diana's death would not be released to the public, especially with the claims that Prince Philip was part of it.

The tipster shared, "Diana communicated her fears about being marked for murder in writing, but no one in authority listened. This smacks of a deliberate cover-up by law enforcement orchestrated by the highest level of the royal family. The finger is pointed squarely at Prince Philip, who was publicly accused of ordering a hit on Diana after she and Prince Charles divorced amid very public cheating scandals."

It was previously claimed that Princess Diana repeatedly expressed her worries about someone possibly tampering with the brakes of her car when she was still alive. However, no one exactly knows, up to this writing, where the late mother of Prince William and Prince Harry got the idea.

The unidentified source added, "So many questions remain. Why didn't Scotland Yard turn over the details of Diana's death fears? Who was responsible? Who had the most to gain by the note staying secret? The truth about Diana's death may never be known and will haunt her sons forever."

To recall, Princess Diana was just 36 years old when the limousine carrying her and her lover, Dodi al-Fayed, crashed in the tunnel beneath the bridge as it fled photographers on motorbikes. Her demise plunged the monarchy into crisis, following the dissolution of her marriage to the heir to the throne, Prince Charles, amid revelations of feuding, adultery, and the unhappiness she felt in her royal duty.

Queen Elizabeth has yet to react to the claims that Prince Philip ordered the killing of Princess Diana. With the lack of evidence to support these allegations, avid followers of the royal family should take all these unverified reports with a pinch of salt until everything is proven true and correct.
