Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez remains under pressure despite recent victories Getty.

Real Madrid have already clinched top spot in Group A and will hope to avoid further injuries when they face Swedish side Malmo at the Santiago Bernabeu on 8 December.

Where to watch live

Kick-off is set for 7.45pm GMT. The game will be broadcast live on BT Sport Extra.

Overview

Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo all scored in the same game for the first time this season as Real Madrid beat Getafe 4-1 on 5 December to reduce the deficit against La Liga leaders Barcelona to four points. The Spanish giants have already ensured top spot in Group A and will look to extend their four-match winning run in all competitions.

Real coach Rafael Benitez is likely to rest several of his first-team players and give fringe players a chance to impress. Defenders Dani Carvajal, Raphael Varane (both thigh) and Sergio Ramos (shoulder) are all out, while left-back Marcelo (groin) is unlikely to be risked.

Group A's bottom side Malmo need to better Shakhtar Donetsk's result against Paris Saint-Germain to qualify for the Europa League. The Swedish champions have lost both their away fixtures in this season's Champions League at an aggregate score of 6-0.

Malmo goalkeeper Johan Wiland suffered a concussion in a friendly against Molde last week and is doubtful to play at the Bernabeu, while centre-back Rasmus Bengtsson is suspended.

What managers say

Rafael Benitez: "The first half [against Getafe] showed everything this team has in its locker and everything they're capable of doing. We put in a really good 45 minutes. Today the team's performance didn't fall away in the second half - they were winning 4-0 and they sought to manage the game. The team's intensity dropped a bit because the job was done."

Age Hareide: "Paris Saint-Germain were already ahead 2-0 after 14 minutes, and then the game really settled. Much went wrong in front of both goals, both defensively and offensively. We were punished by schoolboy errors."
