Real Madrid will take on Atletico Madrid for the first Madrid Derby of the 2014/15 season during the La Liga clash at Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

Where to Watch Live

Kick-off is set for 7pm BST. Live coverage of the match will be available on Sky Sports 5.

Overview

Real come into this game after a 4-2 defeat away from home in the previous league fixture against Real Sociedad. The Champions League winners were 2-0 up within 11 minutes as Sergio Ramos and Gareth Bale were on the scoresheet.

However, Sociedad bounced back as two goals in either halves of the pitch saw them make a comeback to register a victory over Real. The defeat saw Carlo Ancelotti's side have just one win in all competitions played so far this season.

Real and Atletico have faced each other twice in August in the Supercopa de Espana clash. The first leg at the Bernabeu ended 1-1 and the return leg saw Atletico seal a 1-0 victory to win the Supercopa de Espana 2-1 on aggregate.

The 10-times European champions would be looking for revenge to avoid a second straight league defeat on Saturday. The former Chelsea manager would not be expecting anything less than a win in front of the home fans against Atletico.

Meanwhile, Diego Simeone has seen his side register a 2-1 victory over Eibar in the previous fixture at Vicente Calderon. Summer signing Mario Mandzukic was on target against Real during the second leg of the Supercopa de Espana.

The former Bayern Munich striker was on target against Eibar and the Croatian international's goal was the difference between the two sides at the end. After Diego Costa's departure to Chelsea, all eyes will be on Mandzukic to fire Atletico to another victory over Real away from home.

What They Say

Carlo Ancelotti (Real Manager): "The team is working hard and one thing for sure is that the team is a diesel. My confidence lies on two pillars: I have a group of professionals that are very concentrated and Cristiano [Ronaldo] scores a goal a game."

Cristian Ansaldi (Atletico Defender): "This is a game that has been in the works for some time. Since we finished our last match, the team has been thinking about Real Madrid."
