Overview

Superstar Roger Federer is still searching for his best tennis as he readies himself to take part in the quarter-final of the Gerry Weber Open for a record 14th time. The world number 3 cruised past Malek Jaziri 6-3, 7-5 in the second round despite surrendering an early break in the second set.

Federer still does not look in full flow on the court, which is understandable considering the injury plagued season he has had. As long the 34-year-old Swiss tennis star is fit you would back him to go into every game as the favourite.

Unlike his opponent, Goffin has had a fantastic year reaching the semi-final of the Indian Wells, Miami Open and the Rome Masters as well as the last eight of the French Open. The Belgian does not have the best of records against Top 10 players but has beaten Stan Wawrinka and Tomas Berdych in the past. He has not been at his best at Halle so far and it is unlikely he will cause an upset on 17 June.
