England manager Roy Hodgson angrily responded to statistics that showed his side only had two shots on target in their international friendly against Norway, saying that they didn't take into account the ammount of chances the Three Lions had throughout the match.

England were unimpressive in their 1-0 defeat of Norway at Wembley, with Wayne Rooney's 68th minute goal from the penalty spot and a late effort from Danny Welbeck on the only shots on target.

But Hodgson decried the statistics, saying that when factoring in shots off target, blocked shots and dominance in possession he was overall happy with his side's performance.

England next face Switzerland in Basel in the first game of their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign on Monday.
