England manager Roy Hodgson said that he believes his side have what it takes to win the World Cup, and that his players must work incredibly hard in order to succeed in Brazil.

Hodgson named a youthful 23-man-squad on Monday, and there is renewed optimism that the Three Lions can make an impact on the tournament. Hodgson said that any talk for now of winning the World Cup are just empty words, and that his players need to show what they can do on the pitch.

England's World Cup campaign kicks off against Italy in Manaus on 14 June.
