Russian Deputy Director for External Relations in Russia's Internet Registry of the Coordination Center, Leonid Teodorov, will share his views on cyber security on 19 March at the Center for Strategic and International study, Washington.

He is expected to dwell on Russia's challenges and opportunities in the internet or the World Wide Web. He will review past developments, such as the growth of Runet, the 2000 Information Security Concept, the Concept of a Convention on International Information Security, and touch on future Russian cyber security initiatives.

Leonid Todorov is a co-founder of the Russian Internet Governance Forum and the European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDig). In this capacity, he represents the sole non-governmental regulator for the Russian segment of the Internet, aka Runet, according to CSIS.

Todorov is actively engaged in the debate on the global internet governance process. He has authored and coauthored a number of publications on these issues, and has presented them at various national and international events.
