German residents waiting to buy Samsung's new high-end mobile device, the Galaxy Note Edge, can vote for the release of the handset in their country. To improve the chances of it happening, they will also want their friends and relatives to vote too.

Samsung is asking its fans to cast at least 120,210 votes, so the South Korean technology giant can officially release the 5.6in touchscreen-clad Galaxy Note Edge.

How and where to cast your vote

For those who want to see the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge in Germany, go to the official Samsung Deutschland webportal, and click on "Vote for the Note Edge", post, which will allow participants to vote via their social media channels, to get the Galaxy Note smartphone released.

The voting process is under way and will continue until 10 November.

If 120,210 votes are cast, Samsung has said people will get to see a premium edition Samsung Galaxy Note Edge variant in Germany, beginning from the last week of November until the end of December.
