Samsung has sent out invites for a September event where it is likely to launch the Galaxy Note 4

Samsung has started sending press invitations for an Unpacked event scheduled for September at the IFA trade fair in Berlin, where it is expected to unveil the Galaxy Note 4.

The press invites confirms previous rumours which claimed Samsung would send invitations for an Unpacked event in August. Recently an unnamed Samsung executive confirmed the 3 September launch event for the next Galaxy Note.

Apart from the Note 4, Samsung will announce a slew of wearable devices such as Gear Glass, which will run the Tizen operating system and virtual reality device Gear VR, whose software is being designed by Oculus VR, Sammobile reported.

With regards to the hardware features of the sequel to the Note 3, the Galaxy Note 4 is likely to sport a 5.7in Quad HD display with resolution at 2560 x 1440 pixels. We might get to see two variants of the handsets in terms of processor, one with Exynos 5433, the same processor that will power the Galaxy Alpha, and another one to have Snapdragon 805 with 3GB RAM.

There will be a 16 megapixel rear snapper with Sony IMX240 sensor and optical image stabilisation. The Note 4 has been rumoured to feature an ultraviolet sensor and use software version Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Along with the flat OLED display, there might be a curved OLED variant of the Galaxy Note 4.
