This year's Right Livelihood Honorary Award laureate, former United States (U.S.) spy agency contractor Edward Snowden, on Wednesday (September 24), thanked the Swedish foundation on behalf of all the people fighting against mass surveillance. In a filmed comment on the prize which was announced on Wednesday, Snowden said it was a vindication for everyone raising awareness about global mass surveillance.
