Hollywood writer Aaron Sorkin (The Social Network, The Newsroom) – who is currently looking forward to the release of his upcoming biopic, Steve Jobs – was rumoured to be .working on a film based on American actress Lucille Ball. But the writer recently clarified that nothing is confirmed yet.

As per earlier reports, Sorkin was signed on for the Lucille Ball project with actress Cate Blanchett attached to the film as well. However, in his recent interview with Cinema Blend, the writer revealed that he was not officially on board to write the film and added that he was not sure if he would be taking on the project.

"The press kinda jumped the gun on the Lucy and Desi story," he said. "I'm not sure yet that I'm doing it. I hope I do it. I think there's a fantastic story there, and if I do it, I'll start doing research and I'll be able to answer your question." (via Enstarz)

Well, even if there's a question mark on the Lucille Ball film, fans of Sorkin can look forward to another biopic from the writer – a film about Molly Bloom. The writer confirmed that he has completed the script for the movie… so we can expect some developments on that front soon.

"It's another true story, it's non-fiction, and it's about a woman named Molly Bloom, a kind of extraordinary woman who continues to lead a very interesting life," he said. "But she ended up running the world's most high-stakes poker game. And that screenplay is done, and I'm just in the process now of putting the whole thing together."

Meanwhile, Sorkin's Steve Jobs starring Michael Fassbender is slated to release on 23 October, 2015.
