Robots have been in the news lately, with a poll finding that a third of the UK public is afraid of robots taking over their jobs. But what about robots in the home?

The personal robotics industry is steadily growing and is expected to top 19 billion dollars by 2017. One of the most popular types of robots for the home in some parts of the world is the robot vacuum cleaner, which can autonomously clean your home with very little input from you.

IBTimes spoke with Avril Murphy, the European Vice President for Neato Robotics, to find out more about who uses these robots, and why.
