Jasmine Tridevil Death Hoax: Three-breasted woman is alive and well. Jasmine Tridevil/Facebook

An article claiming that Jasmine Tridevil, also known as the three-breasted woman, was found dead has turned out to be false.

The story was posted on Huzlers, a website well known for publishing fake stories with sensational headlines.

The bogus report read: "21-year-old Jasmine Tridevil who claims she has had a third breast surgically attached to her chest for $20,000 in hopes that she will land a show on MTV was found dead this morning in her Tampa Apartment. Police officers were called early morning by neighbors who say they heard loud screaming and fighting coming from Jazmin's room."

The article carried a made-up quote from investigator Robert James saying: "When we arrived at the scene she was covered in blood and her breast had been ripped from her body."

However, there is no truth to the story and the 21-year-old Florida woman, whose real name is Alisha Hessler is alive.

Hessler became an overnight internet sensation after she claimed to have undergone a $20,000 plastic surgery procedure to add a third breast to her body.

However, the photos and videos posted by her on her social media accounts have raised suspicions.

Tampa's 10 News had reported that a three-breast prosthesis was found in her stolen baggage from Tampa International Airport earlier this month.

Hessler took to her Facebook account to reveal that it is a mould of her chest.

She wrote: "This is what was found in my luggage at the airport. Its a mold of my chest. A fan offered me $500 to make one."
