Aaron Lennon
Tottenham's Aaron Lennon is a loan target for Inter Milan, according to reports.

Inter Milan are believed to be interested in signing Aaron Lennon on a loan deal from Tottenham as the winger looks likely to struggle for game time at White Hart Lane.

Lennon has just returned from injury and was used as a substitute in Spurs' win over Aston Villa, but it would appear that the 26 year old could struggle to usurp current golden boy Andros Townsend for the starting position on the right wing.

And with that in mind Tutto Mercato Web are claiming that Inter Milan are hoping to convince Lennon that a loan spell with the Serie A side will give him a chance to get regular first team football and prove his worth.

While Townsend didn't appear to have a chance against Lennon for a starting berth spot last season, upon his return from a loan-spell with QPR the 22 year old has shone for both club and country to command a regular place in the side.

Townsend's goal against Aston Villa may have been somewhat fortunate but it was the springboard from which Spurs could claim a 2-0 away win and came during a time when the side were creating few chances in front of goal.

The current form of Townsend would make it difficult for Andre Villas-Boas to drop him from the side, leaving Lennon in a difficult position.

Meanwhile Inter Milan, who finished a disappointing ninth in the Serie A last season, are looking to seriously build on their squad in part thanks to Indonesian businessman Erick Thohir's recent investment in the club.

The side are hoping to get back to their winning ways and currently sit fifth in the Italian table but want to be challenging for trophies again.

And Lennon has certainly shown in his time at Tottenham that he is capable of being a game changer and would be a great addition for the Italian side.
