A hilarious video has emerged of two traffic officers attempting to catch an escaped pig on a road in North London – which then decides to chase an unfortunate jogger passing by.

The two men try to catch the swine, only for it to charge towards the runner on Hainault Road in the London borough of Redbridge.

The incident was captured on camera at 12.45pm on Wednesday (12 April) and posted to Twitter by the MPS Roads & Transport Policing Command.

Bizarrely, this isn't the only pig-related traffic news this week. In Leeds, a motorway was brought to a standstill by a seven-week-old piglet trotting around on the carriageway.

Highways England said the animal was spotted on the M62 between junctions 28 and 29 at around 7pm on Tuesday. It took more than an hour to capture the pig and clear the road.
