Widespread disruption is hitting air, sea and rail services as the tidal surge brings some ot the worst conditions seen for years.

High winds and dangerous waters are hitting services far and wide. Delays for passengers range from 20 minutes to more than an hour.

Felixstow: Severe. Container freight operations disrupted.

Shields: Severe. Suspended between North and South Shields.

Aberdeen. Severe. Disruption between to Lerwick

Mersey Ferries. Severe. Service suspended.

P&O Irish Sea. Medium. Disruption between Cairnryan and Larne and between Troon and Larne.
