Victoria coach station has been given the all clear and is set to reopen after a suspect package was found during this morning's rush hour (23 May).

The entire coach station was evacuated as Metropolitan Police investigated the package which was later deemed "not suspicious."

Buckingham Palace Road and other streets in the area were closed as police investigated.

Westminster Police tweeted at 7.23am: "Avoid Victoria coach station due to ongoing incident #WeStandTogether"

They then tweeted at 8.22am: "The reported suspect package at Victoria Coach Station has now been cleared. Not suspicious. Thanks for your patience."

The closure came at one of the busiest times of day for the station as rush hour peaked, with thousands of passengers using the transport hub.

It comes after 22 people were killed at a blast in Manchester last night at an Ariana Grande concert.
