Alec Balwin as Donald Trump
Since taking the role on SNL, the impersonation has become a viral hit worldwide Twitter/@nbcsnl

Donald Trump is a person many people enjoy to impersonate and imitate. From his voice, mannerisms, even the way he sniffs, but ever since Alec Baldwin took on the role for Saturday Night Live in 2016, it has become a global hit.

The actor has regularly featured on SNL since Trump entered politics and it seems he is already training his successor. Baldwin showed his 3-year-old daughter, Carmen, how to do a Trump impersonation in a video his wife, Hilaria, posted to Instagram.

In the video, Hilaria asks Carmen what day Baldwin plays the president, and she answers, "Saturday."

Baldwin then begins gesturing his hands like Trump, and Carmen does the same.

"And we say, 'Saturday, Saturday, Saturday, OK everybody, it's Saturday,'" Baldwin says, impersonating Trump, before both laugh.

The video has had more than a quarter of a million views since it was posted on Saturday 20 May.

It isn't known if Baldwin will reprise the role when SNL returns to screens in the autumn of 2017.

It's Saturday! Season finale of @nbcsnl ...sound up 🙈
