Xbox Live Gold Requirement Could be Dropped for Streaming Netflix and Hulu, Titanfall 3 Update Rolling Out Soon

For a long time now, gamers on the Xbox platform have been waiting for Microsoft to remove Xbox Live Gold as a requirement for streaming media services like Neflix, Hulu and others. According to a new report from ARSTechnica, this change might just take place shortly.

The report cites unspecified "sources", which go on to add that Xbox Live might put other services behind the paywall to compensate for this shift.

However, the source could not confirm whether the services in question would be existing ones or new services like TV series from Xbox Entertainment Studios.

This news comes at a time when Microsoft is planning out its announcements for E3, which is scheduled for June.

Titanfall 3 Update Rolling Out Shortly

In other Xbox related news, Titanfall, the Xbox and PC exclusive first-person shooter, will be receiving its third game update shortly. Gamers can expect a long list of changes from this update, most of which are poised to enhance the gameplay experience offered by the title.

Some of the changes include:

Custom Load-Out Names - You can now name your custom loadouts for both your Pilot and your Titan.

2 Dedicated Custom Load Out Per Game Mode - Each of these 2 loadouts become unlocked after playing the game mode 5 and 10 times, respectively. These loadouts are only available in the game mode they are listed under. In a Private Lobby, all game mode loadouts can be customised. In a match lobby, you can only customise the loadouts for the game mode about to be played.

AI Lethality - Controls how tough and accurate Grunts and Spectres are.

AI Types - Sets the allowed types of AI from drop pods and drop ships.

Pilot Health - Gives pilots half, normal, or double health.

Pilot Ammo - Gives pilots normal or reduced ammo.

Titan First Build Time – Adjusts how long players must wait until they acquire their first titan.

Titan Rebuild Time – Adjusts how long players must wait until replacement titans are ready.

Titan Shield Capacity - Normal, half, double, or disabled.

Minimap - Turns the HUD minimap on or off.

Respawn Delay - How long players must wait before spawning in again.
