Xiaomi teases the launch of Mi 4C. Multiple key technical-specs of the next-gen smartphone have been revealed offically MIUI forum

Multiple key technical specs of Xiaomi's Mi 4C which is set for launch on 22 September, have officially surfaced courtesy of executives at Xiaomi. The Mi 4C will feature dual SIM-card slots allowing users to insert LTE-enabled SIM-cards. This aspect is similar to the Mi 4i that lets users access LTE networks with both SIM-cards.

According to a TechGrapple report, that quotes Xiaomi's co-founder Lin Bin (on Weibo), another key aspect is the Xiaomi Mi 4C will be driven by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC under the hood. The smartphone will also offer an Adreno GPU to complement the Snapdragon processor.

According to another top-level Xiaomi executive, Lei Jun (founder), the Mi 4C will offer comparatively better internet connectivity and faster download speeds. The handset would also feature a USB Type-C port.

The Mi 4C will also let users activate its screen with a double-tap. Besides, users would be able to perform a reverse operation by double-tapping on an active screen to put the device in standby mode.

The technical-specs are in line with earlier rumours that had hinted at the Mi 4C featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 SoC and USB Type-C. However, other key aspects were not made official by either Lin Bin or Lei Jun.

But according to rumours, Xiaomi's Mi 4C will come in 16GB and 32GB internal storage editions, with a 3GB RAM. Provision to expand the internal storage via MicroSD card is yet to be made official by Xiaomi. A 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera are also expected to be featured by the Mi 4C.The smartphone is expected to be driven by Android 5.1.1(Lollipop) with the newer MIUI 7 on top.
