Zayn Malik was pictured leaving Gigi Hadid's New York home on 9 June, fuelling rumours that the two could be looking to get back together just days after ending their seven-month relationship. The former One Direction member reportedly was the one who called it quits after the two faced some rough patches in their relationship.

According to The Sun, the Pillowtalk hit-maker was spotted leaving the model's home in New York. The 23-year-old was dressed in an all-black outfit teamed up with a long overcoat, it reported. The singer was showing off his tattoos on his hands, and wore a silver crucifix around his neck.

Later, the Victoria's Secret model was spotted leaving her apartment shortly after Malik made his exit from the same building. The 21-year-old wore a black bomber jacket that she matched with a pair of black leggings and dark shades.

The two had reportedly parted ways when Malik "broke the news to Gigi two weeks after her [21st] birthday", Hollywoodlife reported. (Via Life & Style).

According to E! Online, a source said, "During her birthday they [Hadid and Malik] were fighting." The source added that the two had "broken up and got back together a few times [earlier]."

Another source told the website: "Zayn and Gigi did break up, but they can likely get back together tomorrow. It's all very unclear what's going on between them now. They been having some issues lately that involved communication and getting along.

"Gigi is really sad about this, though, and in a way would like to work it out. It's more about that constant contact with Zayn that she misses and they did get very close."

Hadid and Malik started dating last year following the singer's split from ex-fiancée, singer Perrie Edwards.
