Manchester City clambered back to the top of the Premier League table, on goal difference, after finding a late equaliser in their game against Stoke at the Brittania. The game finished 1-1.

Although City did control most of the game, the Potters did enough to ensure their more talented visitors were never truly comfortable on the ball and did not create too many clear-cut chances. At the end of the day, Roberto Mancini will certainly be ruing this game as two valuable points lost, rather than one earned.

The hosts did all the running in the early parts of the game, launching attack after attack and putting City's defence under pressure. The Potters' efforts soon bore fruit when Peter Crouch found the net with a brilliant volley over Joe Hart in the 59th minute.

City, who were staring at an unthinkable defeat, got right back in to the game in the 76th minute, via a stunning long range-shot from Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure.
