Four players of a Brazilian football club were dismissed by the team management after it was found that the athletes were involved in recording a video in which they appear to be masturbating inside the club's locker room.

The club's action against the players came after the video got leaked and started circulating among other team members.

The president of Sport Clube Gaúcho, Gilmar Rosso, said the only thing that he was angry at was that the players were filming the entire episode in the locker room without permission.

In the video, one the players were spotted masturbating two of his fellow teammates while the fourth one was shooting the act.

"When I hit the play, I deleted it, I think it's disgusting," Rosso said. "Outside business hours we have nothing to do with the situation. If they want to get drunk, drink, gay or not, that's their problem. What I have to answer as president is during a trip, office hours. That's my responsibility. The Gaucho Sport Club is not a keeper of morals and good manners. The only thing was to make the video inside the locker room," Rosso told GloboEsporte.

Soon after the video emerged in social media networks, the club has become a target of derision and criticism. Names of the players have not been released.

None of the players involved in the matter has commented on the incident as yet.

"I told them that I would give the advice of a father of two young people that I am: to step aside for a while and wait for the dust to come down. And that is bad for us, we already have a limited group, but we could not put the club above the human issue," Rosso told a local daily.
