Hollywood actress Meagan Good has announced her engagement to preacher boyfriend DeVon Franklin.

According to TMZ, the 30-year-old Californication beauty is set to tie the knot with the Sony Pictures Entertainment executive after he popped the question in Las Vegas last month.

Good's representative confirmed that even though they have known each other for years, the couple only began dating after production wrapped on their 2011 comedy Jumping the Broom.

In the past, Good, who is a devout Christian, has been very vocal about her desire to find a man who shares her religious beliefs.

During an interview with Complex magazine in May 2011 she said: "It would take someone who is spiritual and loves God. Someone who respects my mind and what I have to offer besides my physical appearance. Someone who actually loves other people and is connected to my destiny."

Franklin is vice-president of production for Columbia Pictures and a Seventh Day Adventist preacher.

Good tweeted her fans: "God is real, thank you for all the love!"
