Out-of-favour Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh has revealed that he would consider leaving the Gunners if he continues on the sidelines.

Chamakh made an impressive start to his Arsenal career, after moving from Bordeaux in 2010, but failed to continue the form through the latter part of the season. He has managed to start only one Premier League game so far this season, and is no longer an automatic first choice.

He has also failed to impress when given his chance, scoring just one goal in 12 appearances.

I am 27 and I need to play. I cannot stay like this forever. I won't leave in January but I will take an important decision in June," Chamakh said. "I was surprised by the offers I got last summer but my priority was to stay at Arsenal.

"A return to France? If so, it will be to Bordeaux."
