Arsenal target Paul Pogba would cost more than Tottenham star Gareth Bale, according to the Juventus star's agent, as the Italian club continue to insist that the midfielder is not for sale.

After landing Pogba on a free transfer from Manchester United last summer Pogba has become an integral member of the Juventus line-up and this summer was believed to be on the radar for a number of clubs.

Arsenal were the most recent side to be connected with the France international but the Old Lady have stood their ground over keeping the 20 year old.

And agent Mino Raiola believes that the only way that Juventus would consider letting Pogba go is if a club were to offer money in the vicinity of what is currently being discussed over Gareth Bale.

"Regarding the price of Pogba", Raiola told Sky Italia, "he is certainly more expensive than Gareth Bale."

Bale is currently close to sealing a move to Real Madrid for a world-record breaking price of around €90m, though the deal is yet to be confirmed by either club despite continued speculation.

Arsenal are yet to sign a senior player this summer and after the side lost 3-1 to Aston Villa in their opening game of the season Arsene Wenger was believed to have stepped up his search for reinforcements as his squad look particularly thin across the board.

Two bids were placed for Pogba this summer, and while Arsenal were believed to be one of the suitors Manchester United were also reportedly interested in purchasing the youngster once more.

Sir Alex Ferguson had wanted to keep Pogba as he entered the final year of his deal in 2012, but the former Le Havre youth player left the club under acrimonious circumstances after Ferguson refused to guarantee him playing time.
