Tottenham Hotspur are believed to be ready make an offer to Crystal Palace for talented young winger WIlfried Zaha.

The 19-year-old has caught the eye since becoming a regular for the Championship side and has already played more than 100 games and scored a total of 12 goals.

The Mirror has reported that Liverpool and Arsenal are said to be interested in signing Zaha, but Tottenham are willing to make an offer during the January transfer window after scouting the player on a number of occasions this season.

Zaha made some 41 appearances for Palace two seasons ago after being promoted from the youth academy and then went one better last year as he scored nine goals in 49 appearances in all competitions.

His brace against Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this week further highlighted his potential and it seems Tottenham may attempt to beat their rivals to the winger.

Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman has made it clear that he would allow the midfielder to leave the club if the right offer arrived.

"When he's ready and when I think he's ready to go to the right club, I will tap Wilfried on the shoulder and tell him I can't help him any longer," Freedman told The Mirror.

"It's a little bit different with my kids, the relationship has been there a long time.

"Wilfried can play at the top level if he continues going with his movement, he's got wonderful technique and ability. His all-round game is coming together."

Tottenham have previously looked to the Palace academy when they managed to sign John Bostick from the club in the summer of 2008. The 20-year-old has since struggled to break into the first team and has consistently been sent out on-loan.

Zaha is more established than Bostock and the Mirror believes that Palace would be prepared to allow him to leave if a bid of £8million was made.
