Blackpool winger and Liverpool target Thomas Ince claims he would be happy to spend the remainder of the season at Bloomfield Road, if his much-awaited move to the Premier League does not materialise before the end of this transfer window.

The Reds have been in negotiations with the Seasiders throughout January to bring their academy product back to Anfield but are yet to agree on a fee with the Championship club. Meanwhile, relegation-battling Reading are now reportedly making an effort to hijack the deal and steal the 20-year-old.

Ince has stated his desire to play in the English top flight but has also insisted he would stay committed to the Seasiders if the transfer fell through.

"Every player wants to play top level at some stage of their career. But as far as I am concerned, if I am still a Blackpool player come Thursday then great. My attitude will never change and I won't go off the rails thinking, 'Why didn't I get this move or that move?'," the England U21 star told Sky Sports.

"I will always work hard for this team and I am happy scoring goals for Blackpool. The club has given me the stage to express myself and the players allow me to do it. Players like me can be very frustrating when we are trying to do tricks and lose the ball, but the lads know if they can get the ball to me in the right areas I can cause problems," the youngster added.

Ince, who can play either in the centre or on the left of midfield, has 15 goals and 10 assists to his name from 27 Championship appearances this season. The player netted a brace at the weekend to help Blackpool beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 and also backed caretaker Steve Thompson to get the manager's post on a long-term basis.

"Why not give Steve the job? He's been here through thick and thin and I think he deserves it. "He does everything for the lads, not himself, to help this club," Ince explained.
