Paris Hilton was reportedly left red-faced after being kicked out of the Sundance film festival in Utah by acting legend Robert Redford.

Redford, who founded the independent film extravaganza held in Utah, was apparently furious that the reality star had crashed the event even though she had not been involved in any of the films showing.

According to the Daily Mail, The Way We Were star had the party-loving socialite, who was with her 21-year-old boyfriend River Viiperi, ejected.

"What movie is she in? She didn't have anything to do with the films," Redford apparently ranted.

"She and her hard-partying, swag-grabbing cohorts have made the festival not much fun. There are too many people who come to the festival to leverage their own self-interest."

"Paris doesn't come to Sundance for the movies," a source added. "She's here to pose, party and get stuff for free.

"This year was no different - she boozed it up, loaded up on gifts and went home richer than she came. Her 15 minutes of fame expired a long time ago, and we're glad Robert Redford blasted her. She's considered a joke here."

The snub comes as the heiress once lucrative career continues to wane.

Despite still being able to charge up to $100,000 for night club appearances, her DJ debut in August 2012 was universally panned.

"It's like, c'mon man. She's tried everything now. Just put some quality behind the s*** that you do," Lindsay Lohan's ex, DJ Samantha Ronson previously told TMZ of Hilton's "Put some effort into it."
