Real Betis youngster Alvaro Vadillo, who has been compared with Cristiano Ronaldo, would be pleased to play for Arsenal but according to his agent the Gunners have not made any approach to sign him.

Spanish TV Show Punto Pelota recently claimed that the Betis winger is in advanced talks with Arsenal and he will join the Gunners in the next transfer window. However, his agent Jose Maria Sanchez de Puerta told IBTimesUK that at this moment there is no chance of Vadillo playing for the North London club - although the player would love to take a step forward in his career and move to the Premier League

"Arsenal have not contacted me. Of course he would like to play for Arsenal, who does not? But right now there is nothing. It is just a rumour," said Sanchez de Puerta. "Vadillo is a player that is going to cost a lot of money in the future and these rumours are normal."

Sanchez de Puerta has very good relationships with Arsenal because in 2006 he negotiated the transfer of Julio Baptista to the North London club.

Vadillo was also linked to Tottenham in the last transfer window when Andre Villas-Boas was looking for Gareth Bale's replacement and Sanchez de Puerta admitted that they did contact him.

"Last summer Tottenham asked me about Vadillo's situation but they finally did not make an offer."

The Betis winger is one of the most talented players in La Liga and he even has been compared with Ronaldo because of his skills with the ball. He has also represented Spain at under-17 and 19 level.

The 19-year-old 's release clause is £17m and he still has two years remaining on his contract with Betis.
