Andi Dorfman has been announced as the next star of the ABC hit reality series, The Bachelorette.

The 26-year-old assistant district attorney from Atlanta, Georgia, famously walked out of counterpart show The Bachelor, after realising former soccer player Juan Pablo Galavis was not the man for her.

Dorfman left the show after spending a night with Galavis in the Fantasy suite. But now she is ready to try her luck again.

"I have a great life. I just don't have anyone to spend it with," she said on The Bachelor: After The Final Rose special.

"I love my job, but my job is not my top priority. I'm ready to find my husband. I'm ready to fall in love, to meet the man of my dreams."

"I worked really hard to get to where I am, and it's something I'm very proud of," she continued. "But at the end of the day if I don't have someone to share that with - someone to share my accomplishments and even defeats with - it doesn't mean anything to me."

Dorfman is hopeful and confident that she will find 'the one' on The Bachelorette.

"I feel all in. I feel mentally all in, emotionally all in, physically all in. I am in a place in my life where I'm just so ready for this" she added.

"I hate to say it because I don't want to jinx myself … but I am ready. I've never felt better in my life about this and I'm just excited."
