The foreign Minister William Hague has confirmed at a press conference today in London that following the latest atrocity committed by the Assad regime in Syria. Britain is expelling the Syrian charge d'affaires and two other senior Syrian diplomats.

Mr Hague was then asked off camera whether there would be military action as well against the Syrian dictator. He replied

This expulsion follows the continued flagrant disregard for the Kofi Annan brokered UN backed ceasefire. And is a response to the recent civilian massacres. Russia and China lent their support to this latest move from the UN .Both countries previously vetoed a number of Security Council initiaves. So their support and condemnation of the latest massacres against women and children is very promising for potential further action..
