Chris Brown wants to date Rihanna? Singer reportedly sent gifts to songstress after Drake split

Chris Brown has reportedly sent numerous gifts to Rihanna, following her split from rapper Drake. The With You hit-maker has previously dated the Barbadian singer from 2007 to 2009 and then briefly in 2013.

According to a report in Hollywoodlife, the 27-year-old singer-songwriter is trying to reignite his romance with the songstress. "Chris [is] going after Rihanna again, hard. He just had his assistant send a ton of stuff to her in Barbados for her and her family. He sent booze, flowers, a bunch of toys for all the kids, he knows the way to her heart is through her family," a source told the gossip website.

"Plus he did some painting for her, he had it all covered up but it was something he did himself. He's saying he's going to get her back, that they belong together and stuff. He definitely sees this break-up from Drake as his opportunity," the source added.

The development comes on the heels of the One Dance hit-maker and the 28-year-old singer's breakup. Rihanna and Drake have been in an on and off relationship for the past seven years.

"[RiRi] doesn't want to be held down," a source had previously told Us Weekly, speaking about the split. Another source said: "They will always be close. If they end up together, it could happen, but not now."

"Rihanna and Drake are seeing other people at the moment. They are not exclusive anymore. They still love each other, but their schedules have gotten in the way," E! News quoted a source as saying. "Anything can change between them though, for better or worse. They are still in each other's lives."

However, it seems like Rihanna may not be interested in Brown as she has shared a message on social media slamming her former boyfriends.

"None of my exs are married or in happy relationships so it's safe to say I wasn't da problem lol," she posted on Instagram on 9 October.
