A 46 year old man has been arrested over the murder of Northern Ireland prison officer David Black who was shot in a hail of bullets last Thursday as he drove to work on the M1 en route to Maghberry Prison. The as yet unnamed man was arrested in Lurgan, County Armagh, and is being questioned at Antrim police station.

Police said this is the fourth man to be arrested as part of the investigation into the prison officer's death. And follows the arrest of : Prominent Irish republican Colin Duffy, 44, and a 31-year-old man immediately after Mr Black's murder. Police in the Irish Republic also arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the killing. All three have since been released.

Mr Black's death shocked and saddened Ireland as he was the first policemen to be killed in almost twenty years. The investigation is on going.
