Former Apprentice contestant turned Trump staffer Omarosa Manigault has held her wedding at one of Donald Trump's hotels.

Manigault, who is working for Donald Trump's communications department, held both her wedding and reception at the Republican's DC hotel the Old Post Office Pavilion on Saturday (8 April).

The star of the 2004 Apprentice series had been intending to get married in Florida in March, but according to Politico changed the date and location after experiencing threats and harassment.

Manigault married Pastor John Allen Newman at Trump's hotel, reportedly in bridal attire worth around $25,000 that was gifted to her by Kleinfeld Bridal after she featured on reality TV show 'Say Yes to the Dress', which features brides choosing their wedding gowns.

She shared a picture of her White House bridal shower on social media prior to her wedding, tweeting: "Special thanks to my wonderful WH co-workers for my bridal/going away party last night!"

The former reality TV star also pinned her engagement photograph to the top of her Twitter feed in the lead-up to the big day.

Although Trump lent his hotel to the festivities, he was not in attendance at the celebration, as he was set to spend the weekend in Florida, having met Chinese President Xi Jinping there during the week.

The communications staffer has appeared in numerous reality TV shows following her stint on The Apprentice, and most recently made headlines after allegedly clashing with a journalist at the White House.
