Apple stunned almost nobody at its San Francisco special event today (September 9) by announcing upgrades to its iPhone smartphone range. The unveiling of its next-generation Apple TV set top box and a productivity-focused iPad Pro were also widely anticipated.

That the Apple management team, joined by a guest-list including speakers from longtime arch-rival Microsoft, took well over two hours to unveil this latest line-up of devices was, however, somewhat more of a surprise.

Over 7,000 press, analysts and employees packed the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco to clap, whoop and holler at fruits of Apple's toils, joined by a far larger audience watching around the world on a stable - for once - live video stream.

However, if you missed the announcement but don't have two hours to watch it on demand then fear not: we've boiled-down the key moments from Apple's marathon announcement into an easily-digestible three minute video.
