I'm A Celebrity 2016
I'm A Celeb superfan Scarlett Moffatt has been crowned queen of the jungle ITV/I'm A Celebrity

I'm A Celeb 2016 unveiled Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt as the winner on Sunday night (4 December), but will the actual figures from the final's results show have her swinging from the trees?

The 26-year Jungle Queen was a firm favourite among viewers from the start with her bubbly personality and witty one-liners, and ended up beating the almost equally popular comedian Joel Dommett, and Emmerdale star Adam Thomas.

Figures reveal that Moffatt came out on top of every vote-off during the series, eventually taking the crown with 45.17% of the vote, trumping Dommett's respectable 38.2%.

The first vote-off saw 30-year-old Dommett come in second place with 20.02%, but Thomas ended up beating him in the following vote-off.

The third vote-off resulted in Dommett as runner-up and Thomas as third; it remained that way until the penultimate vote-off.

But the final result was much tighter than the viewing public would think; Moffatt won the show by only 6.97% – which despite her popularity, is a small gap compared to last year's result.

2015's series saw Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison win and being 40.3% ahead of George Shelley, wile 2014's winner Carl Fogarty was 19.8% clear of Jake Quickenden and Kian Egan beat David Emanuel by an impressive 34.9% in 2013.

The only exception in the show's history was when Charlie Brooks beat Ashley Roberts by just 1% in 2008.

This year's statistics also show that Larry Lamb's popularity slipped over the course of the series – he came in third place in the first elimination vote when four of his fellow campmates were immune, and came fourth the next day when 11 of them were on the block together. By Day 19, however, he had slipped to seventh in the rankings and was eliminated over his nemesis, TV presenter Martin Roberts.

Olympian Sam Quek's popularity also came as a surprise to bookies – who consistently had her towards the bottom of the market. Figures proved that she never came lower than sixth.

This year's winner, Moffatt, was working as a disability adviser for students when she shot to fame as the loud-mouthed and hilarious regular on Channel 4 show Gogglebox. On her newfound success, Moffatt plans to buy her father a caravan and herself a boob job with her winnings.

She told The Sun: "I don't think I've ever felt as happy or content as I have now, so a million pounds isn't going to make any difference," she said.

"I'm really sensible with my money. So I would like to own my own house rather than rent. That's really boring isn't it? What else can I buy? Loads of chicken kebabs!"

She also revealed that she plans to marry her boyfriend Luke Crodden in a fairytale wedding. The loved-up couple have been dating since February and shopped for engagement rings before she entered the Australian jungle more than three weeks ago.

She continued: "I love Luke so much. He's into aliens so he's my cup of tea," she said.

On her wedding, she said: "I want a glass carriage. I'd also like a Willy Wonka theme with centrepieces as sweets and munchkins as waiters."
