A shocking video has been released showing a child being forced by depraved Islamic State fighters into carrying out the savage beheading of a Syrian regime army officer.
A gruesome video of the incident -the first reported execution of its kind by a child - has been shared by ISIS supporters on social media.
The boy, who is no more than ten years of age, is seen wearing camouflage and the black headdress associated with the terror group. His face is exposed revealing the deathly cold stare of a scarred child who has evidently witnessed the evil of ISIS' savagery.
The regime soldier is seen being forced to lay on his stomach as the young boy approaches him from behind, pulls his head back by the hair, and uses a small knife to slit his throat. He then beheads him and celebrating the murder he raises the victim's severed head in the air and places the head on the victim's back.
The unnamed soldier, who was captured by jihadis at the nearby Al-Bosayri army checkpoint is believed to have been a regime leader in the ancient city of Palmyra. The murder is understood to have taken place at the Western Hir Palace in the province of Homs.
A senior ISIS fighter is seen watching the scene. According to the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, at the end of the video the militant turns to the camera and makes a chilling threat to the West.
'Our goal is not only Palmyra or Homs or Damascus, rather our goal is to conquer Bayt al- Maqdes [Jerusalem] and Rome, God willing,'
ISIS have been spawning child killers dubbed the Cubs of the Caliphate, inculcating children as young as five in the brutal practices of the terror group and grooming a new generation of murderers and suicide bombers.
Children as young as 12 have been forced to shoot the terror group's opponents at point blank range. Recent videos depicted a young child firing bullets into the heads of young captive soldiers at close range in the massacre at Tikrit
Earlier this month ISIS released an execution video from inside Palmyra, showing 25 child executioners lining up regime soldiers in a Roman amphitheatre and shooting them in the head, while a baying crowd looked on.
Schoolchildren in southern France expressed their shock at seeing a former classmate executing a hostage in a video released by the Islamic State (Isis).
Many children have been enrolled in training camps for "junior jihadi's." A video of the military style terror school was released apparently aimed at recruiting more children and young people to the militant group, who in recent months have taken over swathes of territory in Syria and Iraq as their murderous onslaught continues.
The video shows the youngsters brandishing military weapons and firing machine guns while masked in balaclavas.
And while ISIS' child killers have routinely been used as a propaganda tool it's the first time a child has been used to carry out a brutal beheading with a knife.
