Jennifer Lawrence and Darren Aronofsky have reportedly ended their one-year relationship. The duo is said to have split on "amicable" terms last month.

Although the pair was spotted at the Governors Awards in LA on 11 November, a source told Entertainment Tonight that the couple were already broken up at the time. The source added that it's not awkward for them to be seated together and be friendly with each other.

The news may come as a shock to many as the two had gushed about each other in recent interviews, with the Hunger Games star, 27, recalling how she fell in love with Aronofsky, 48.

"I had a crush on him when he pitched to me, and that was like, a year before we started rehearsing, but he was a professional, which only made it worse for me," Lawrence told The Hollywood Reporter.

She added, "We just kind of formed a friendship. He knew how I felt. I mean, I assumed. We just formed a friendship and then the friendship turned into a partnership for the movie, once we started working. And then once the movie was done, I was like, 'All right, you're my boyfriend!'"

In another interview, Aronofsky dished out about their work-life balance, saying it wasn't hard to do as they don't think about their work when with each other.

"Not at all -- I mean, she's very, very relaxed," he said. "She's the type of actor that turns off all the intensity when she's not shooting, and then flips it on when she needs it. And so, in between action and cut, she's the character, and then when you call cut, she's Jennifer Lawrence again," he told Entertainment Tonight.

Lawrence and Aronofsky started dating last September after working together on the movie Mother! After keeping tight-lipped about their relationship, the two stepped out in public as a couple at the New York premiere of the film on 13 September.
